Aditya Srivastava tops UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023

The much-awaited UPSC CSE result 2023 are finally here ! The long period of anticipation, nervousness has come to an end. The result published by UPSC is the combined form of the written and interview test held. Results can be checked on the commission's websites, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. UPSC Civil Services Result 2023 list is provided in PDF format, showcasing the roll numbers and names of qualified candidates recommended to the following posts :

(i) Indian Administrative Service

(ii) Indian Foreign Service

(iii) Indian Police Service

(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

This year Aditya Srivastava from IIT Kanpur topped the ranking list while Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy secured the second and third ranks respectively.

The top five consist of three men and two women candidates.

As per the notification released by the commission a total of 1,016 candidates have been recommended for appointment while candidature of 355 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.

“Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination," the statement said.

Marks of the candidates will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the final result.

The 2023 UPSC Civil Services Exam journey unfolded across several stages. The initial hurdle, the Preliminary Exam, was held on May 28th, 2023. Candidates who successfully navigated this stage then proceeded to the Mains Examination, which took place from September 15th to 24th, 2023. Finally, for those shortlisted after the Mains, the interview round – the ultimate test – was conducted between January 2nd and April 8th, 2024.

  1. Head to the UPSC website: Go to https://upsc.gov.in/.
  2. Spot the results: Look for the "Results" section or announcements related to the UPSC CSE Result 2023.
  3. Open the list: Click on the link to download the merit list, which will be a PDF document.
  4. Search for your name: Use the search function ( Ctrl + F ) or scroll through the list to find your roll number.
  5. Save your result: Download and print a copy of the PDF for your records.
